The Underground Arthouse Chicago (UAC) is a creative hub and cultural institution, one part swanky clubhouse, one part subversive charity. As an organization, we have three objectives:

  1. To invest in artists, with an emphasis on local street artists
  2. To encourage creative collaboration and interdisciplinary community building
  3. To make fine art more accessible to the masses

What We Do

We invest in artists, creatives, host events, and give away fine art! We throw 2 or 3 art parties a year, including an annual art battle in September.

How You Can Get Involved

The UAC is always interested in your ideas, projects, and proposals. We are constantly seeking artists, performers, and all creative types to reach out with new ideas or to take on a role in one of our existing projects or positions.

Membership

To become a member of the UAC you must:

  • Be invited.
  • Agree that anything you sell to us may be given away.
  • Put a paper detritus on the paper detritus wall.

You also must agree to follow our rules:

  1. No cigarette smoking or vaping in the house.
  2. Don't break the Kernel's blue pipe.
  3. Additional rules will be codified as they become necessary to state on the record. Rules about consent are implied.
